Accommodation description

Words do not justice to describe living in this luxury Lake Como penthouse overlooking the City skyline, lake and mountains. Sumptious living, beautfully appointed and wall to floor lake views would be a good start to describe some of the features of this executive home.

The home is conveniently located to reach the centre of Como. In just a few minutes you can arrive in the heart of Como city by car or around 10 minutes on foot.

Quality fixtures and fittings can be found at every turn of the open plan 5 star deluxe apartment The lounge boasts wall to floor 180 degree panoramic lake and mountain views with an accompanying balcony for alfresco dining.

The lounge has been tastefully designed with no expense spared evident in the huge dining table, state of the art fitted kitchen and large L shaped sofa with the open plan room designed to take full of advantage of the wall to floor lake views. The owner has meticulously fitted the home with every home comfort from wide screen tv, Bose music player, designer lighting, furniture and rugs hand-crafted in Italy. Features include air conditioning in every room which you can set to your individual preference and the breakfast bar fitted at the bespoke kitchen.

The home includes three bedrooms, an ensuite double, a twin and single room. The home sleeps five guests with ample wardrobe space. The second bathroom is located close to the twin room for added convenience.

The master bedroom boasts a large double bed with quality linen and bedding and a beautifully appointed ensuite shower room.

The second bedroom include two single beds

The third bedroom features a large single bed (A french bed)

Total floor space of the home is 120 SQ Metres.

Secure parking is available in the garage located just below the entrance to the apartment.

The apartment can be reached by an elevator.

Additionally to the private terrace adjoining the living room, there is also a further communal terrace with can be accessed by the external stairs on the roof top as photographed for sunbathing and alfresco dining for you to take advantage of.

Private garage for parking. We recommend bringing a smaller car to the home to access the garage and as more convenient for the narrow roads and parking areas around the lake and city centre of Como.

We will be happy to organise a private chef with wine’s to match sourced from our favourite italian wineries plus cooking lessons at the home-please ask for details.

Boat hire can be arranged on request as well as tours of the lake on a luxury boat with captain to explore prestigious villa’s, dine at one of our favourite lakeside restaurants and visit the many hidden treasures here on Lake Como.

About the Area

The home is ideally positioned to get the most from a stay on Lake Como. Close enough to the city to enjoy all the benefits Como has to offer from theatre, piazzas, restaurants, bars, lakeside walks, shopping, boutiques, markets and supermarkets. Yet as the apartment is a short drive or 10 minute walk approximately from the buzz of city living you can enjoy an authentic Lake Como expererience taking in the lake and mountain dramatic panoramic and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Lake Como in all its glory! We live and work on the lake, arrange to meet you on arrival and will be more than delighted to recommend places to visit, restaurants etc to help you get the most from your stay.City centre located 2 minutes drive by car or 10 minutes walk on foot, approximately 3 minutes on road, 7 minutes on pathway.

An amazing penthouse in every way!
A group of four of us stayed for a week in the penthouse, and it was truly amazing. It’s hard to imagine a better view of Lake Como from anywhere else on the lake – it’s better than the pictures in the listing. And everything in the penthouse was top notch, clean, and worked beautifully. As good as it gets. The location – just a short walk from downtown Como, was perfect for us. Barrie was an fantastic host, answering all our questions, and helping out with the logistics of getting around the lake (the ferry system can be a challenge). He also checked in with us periodically while we were there to make sure all was going well. He was even good enough to chose some great wines for us before we arrived so we could hit the ground running. The walk into town took us about 10 minutes, and the first 100 yards or so required caution as you are walking down a very narrow road with two-way traffic. But once we got the hang of it, it was fine. Also keep in mind the walk back from town is uphill and takes some effort. To sum up…I highly recommend the penthouse and Barrie. Both are truly great!

The place was beautiful with amazing views of the lake. It was very conveniently located and was very nicely appointed inside. The host (Barrie) was available for any and all questions and always responded promptly and gave excellent recommendations. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 boys(16yr & 13 yr old), they were blown away with the place.
The garage of the building is a huge bonus but be ready for skillful maneuvering. Barrie had recommended to get a Panda 4×4 sized car because it would be easier to navigate the garage ramp. We had a VW T-cross mini SUV which was quite a bit bigger but we managed alright with it but a smaller car might have been easier on the sharp ramp curves.
Barrie was kind enough to have a chilled Prosecco waiting for us which we thoroughly enjoyed on the balcony enjoying the weather and the view.
Would definitely come again and stay here in the future.

Barrie and Julie have been the most wonderful hosts we could have asked for. From a friendly and welcoming check in, to helping us with any query or local question we may have, the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish.
The apartment is beautifully furnished, very very clean, spacious and a delight to be in. We stayed for a week and enjoyed slow mornings and quiet nights overlooking the beautiful lake. The home is equipped with everything and more, and we felt really at home right away, perfect for us and our 6-month old daughter on a 5 week Europe trip.

Barrie’s place was beautiful, and it was just perfect for our family’s visit to Lake Como! Barrie was very helpful and gave recommendations for local spots and attractions, and he was always responsive if we had questions about anything. The apartment was absolutely lovely, and it has a stunning view over the lake, and we didn’t mind the short walk down to the waterfront at all! It was really nice to be situated a little bit away from city center, especially at the end of a long day touristing with the crowds. We visited during the busy summertime, so Barrie advised us to get tickets for the ferry early in the morning, as the boats sometimes sell out closer to departure times. He was so helpful with his tips and recommendations for our visit! We HIGHLY recommend this lovely apartment with the amazing views of the lake, and Barrie went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, in every way!

Barrie’s place was exactly as advertised. Beautiful, spotless, and amaging views But the big big bonus was Barrie was so responsive not only to our questions but also proactively with dinner and activity recommendations. We rented a boat, and 4 hours on Lake Como was one of the most magical experiences ever. He even offered a late checkout and arranged transportation for us to align with our departure train schedule. I would highly recommend Barrie’s place to anyone!

“What an amazing place – views are breathtaking!!! Pictures do not do this place justice. Barrie is an amazing communicator and was always on – he helped us secure transportation from the Milan train station and back to MXP airport (way better price and secure) – gave us all the information we needed for great food locations and any support we needed. Checked in several times to make sure we were taking care of. Unit has a tone of amenities (if you like cooking you have everything you would want). Top notch coffee machine, tons of fridges and wine cooler. Wifi worked great and you have a ton of entertainment options. A/C was great – also everyone talks about the walk to the unit it is not that bad and one can get to the side paths very quickly if you know where to go.”

“This apartment is beautiful and spacious with enough room for the five of us (2 adults and 1 child) and has fantastic views of the lake and Como. The 10-15 minute walk to Como helped us have our daily walk quota and made us enjoy that extra gelato! Very relaxing to come back to each day after travelling to the other towns around the lake. This property is amazing & only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Como. The photos and the views are exactly what you get but in real lifte they are so much better. It’s a magnificent place to just keep coming back to.

Italian appartments were fantastic as were Barrie & Julie. Anything you needed they were more than happy to help with. I could go on & on but just book it and come you won’t be disappointed.

5 Star Panoramic View of Lake Como.
We really enjoyed the spectacular view this place provides. Watching boats and ferries come and go along with watching the sea plane traffic provided just enough activity to enjoy but not distracting at all. 10 minute walk to restaurants was no real issue unless older then you may consider taking a taxi up.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the penthouse. It has a lovely location and the pictures don’t do it justice. It combines great views with a short walk to all the facilities needed including multiple restaurants, stores and the ferry terminal. I would highly recommend a stay here

Amazing location on lake Como with views from every room, they are better than the photos. clean and spacious, has all the amenities one could need on a vacation rental as expected.

This is an amazing property overlooking beautiful Lake Como. My family and I stayed here for 8 nights and truly loved it. It’s ideally located very close to the city center, and the unit has been remodeled with top notch appliances and furnishings. Air conditioning which is very much needed during the summer months works in every room. I can’t say enough positive things about this penthouse! The view upon entry to the unit is breathtaking! Additionally the hosts, Barrie and Julie were exceptionally welcoming and helped us with may suggestions and reservations. It was very comforting to know we had hosts we can rely on since this was the first time we were in Como. That said, we will be coming back for sure.

House very clean, amazing view of the lake from living room and kitchen as well as the bedrooms. All what you need.
Best house I have stayed in and most wonderful views. If I am back to Como diffidently I will hunt for the same next time.
